Academic Program

From the Head of the Academic Section - written by Ichiri Toi

Hello everyone! I am the Head of the Academic Section, Ichiri Toi. As the department head, I am looking forward to seeing you and discussing with you. Let me introduce our programcand I hope it'll evoke your interest into participating in this Study Trip!!

Purpose

Between Japan and China, there are presently as many problems as economical interests. Also, we, as students who study law, endeavor daily to acquire logical thinking. If we can discuss such complex matters, don't you think it is very beneficial and interesting?

In this Study Trip, we aim to deepen mutual understanding and friendship. This Academic Program contributes to this aim greatly in the following way.

When we discuss, we have to respect others' value systems, beliefs, and give their environments due consideration. By talking with one another at our Table Discussions, we can obtain a more thorough knowledge about each other and a deeper understanding based on this. Don't you think that this is the perfect way to construct a closer relationship? I am convinced that through this program, we can deepen and develop our mutual understanding and friendship!

Program

1, Table Discussion

Following the theme of each table, delegates from both countries will discuss several topics with each other and try to solve a certain 'problem'. In order to make smooth and beneficial progression, the Table Coordinator (a.k.a. "TC") of each table will give instructions ahead of time to research your subject before the Study Trip.

This program is a big chance to exchange opinions and real thoughts so as to build a stronger bond and achieve our goal.

2, Progress Report

The program's objective is to share the conclusions that each table reached through the Table Discussions. Every table will make policy proposal and present what they've discussed, what they thought, and their solution to improving or actually solving the problem. Our goal will be to propose a policy ideal for both nations, as this program is placed as the final compilation in our Academic Program.
